I’am, es el acrónimo en inglés de “Identity & Access Management”. O en otras palabras, se trata de un Sistema de gestión de Identidades y de accesos centralizado, que contempla el Ciclo de Vida del Empleado desde que entra hasta que se jubila, pasando por diferentes responsabilidades. El sistema incluye tanto un FRONTOFFICE como un BACKOFFICE. En el Frontoffice el usuario tiene las herramientas que le permiten identificarse de forma segura (con SmartCards, DNIe, huella dactilar), esto también se llama Strong Authentication. Así mismo el usuario dispone de una herramienta de SSO (Single SignOn) que realiza las conexiones y las autentificaciones con las aplicaciones una vez el servidor de identidades (Identity Provider) así lo autoriza.
